Chromium 6 in Drinking Water

A 2010 study by the Environmental Working group found measurable amounts of hexavalent chromium, or chromium 6, in the tap water of 31 US cities. The study was a nationwide analysis of drinking water of only 35 cities. There are no regulations concerning chromium 6 in drinking water yet, but 25 of the 31 cities sited with measurable level of the toxin exceeded the limit proposed by the state of California.
